Why are my pods arriving in different packaging?

Times are changing, and so are we (for the better we promise!). To date we’ve packaged our pods in multiple box sizes specific to quantity, meaning every product has required a myriad of manufacturing components and many separate shipments from our suppliers. On rare occasions this may have even resulted in supply chain issues for us, and in turn delays for you.

To alleviate the environmental impact of our manufacturing and improve your experience with our products, we’re making some changes to our packaging! Moving forward, you can expect your pods to be shipped in multiple boxes of 64 pods corresponding to the three available box sizes of 64, 128 and 192 pods.

On our end, simplifying our boxes by eliminating two box sizes will remove significant wasted printing materials (both cardboard waste and custom metal printing plates) and wasted air space, both on carrier vehicles and in our warehouse due to non-standardized box sizes. On your end, expect boxes that will fit more easily into your mailbox and store more efficiently in your home. Worried about these extra boxes? Our packaging is composed of FSC Certified and post-consumer cardboard materials, and printed with biodegradable inks. To responsibly dispose of your Dropps box, just break down and recycle!
